Florida PD Standards and Evaluation Protocol

The Florida legislature requires that districts design a system of professional development that aligns to the standards adopted by the state. Florida's standards reflect three levels of professional development: district, school, and faculty.

The standards address four stages of managing the professional development system: planning, delivery, follow-up, and evaluation. Florida's Professional Development System Evaluation Protocol provides the criteria for evaluating the quality of each district's professional development system.

The links on this page provide more detail about the Protocol, the evaluation process, and the results of the initial statewide report.
